OS, UI & Apps Redmi Note 10 Pro

More secure, confidential and fluid

Redmi Note 10 Pro runs Android 11 with MIUI 12 applied over, an experience we are already very familiar with. MIUI 12 means, among other things, two columns for applications opened in Recents that thumbnails, but also dynamic 3D and good-looking wallpapers, with the Red Planet or the Earth.

It also means apps organized into categories in the app drawer and the ability to split Quick Settings Notifications . The latter go to a Control Center placed at a swipe-right distance starting from the top of the screen. The Control Center looks exactly like the one on iOS, with similar bubbles and toggles. For security we have a side fingerprint reader integrated in the Power button.

It's fast and accurate, but we also have a facial unlock with selfie camera (not very secure though). We also get Dark Mode here, as well as customizable Always On Display functions. Widgets are airy and transparent, we have themes full of customization options. You can also replace the bottom navigation buttons with swipe gestures and illuminate the edges of the screen when you receive notifications.

We also have privacy options and the ability to extract metadata from photos. We also receive Digital Wellbeing, proprietary Gallery, Music and Video applications, as well as a Security application. It is a security and resource optimization hub with a Facebook scanner, virus scan and blocklist.

Conclusions Redmi Note 10 Pro

Redmi Note 10 Pro was tested by us in a special edition, anniversary for several reasons: 11 years of Xiaomi, 10 years of Mi Fan Festival and 200 million Redmi units sold globally. This is a midrange phone with more flagship attributes than the usual Redmi series. You can rely on it when it comes to video consumption, thanks to a battery and top screen, and the 108 MP camera does an exemplary job. Shades and exposure can sometimes get in the way on a very sunny day.

It has a compromise rate that we can accept at the price paid, especially caught in its debut offer on the local market. Take care to tick the essential functions for the buyer and bring a 108 MP camera in anyone's pocket, along with an 8 nm CPU and generous battery. Beware though, if you want a more advanced zoom, you have a Realme 8 Pro for that, and it fits even better in autonomy, but not as good as the Redmi Note 10 Pro on the screen.
