realme GT Master Edition: Camera equal to the one on realme GT 5G

Time 09/05/2022 By myhoneybakedfeedback

realme GT Master Edition has a few things in common with realme GT 5G and one of them would be the camera. The back one especially because there are differences in the selfie. realme GT Master brings a 32 MP self-timer camera cut to the screen with F / 2.5 aperture, compared to the 16 MP one on the realme GT 5G with F / 2.5 aperture. The one here has a fixed focus and a Sony sensor.

At the back we find a rectangular camera with glass-covered module, with 64 MP main sensor, F / 1.8 aperture, 1/2 inch size, 0.7 micron pixels and PDAF. It is joined by an 8 MP ultrawide camera with F / 2.2 aperture and a 2 MP Macro camera with F / 2.4 aperture. We also have a single LED flash and not a dual one like the GT 5G. Filming is 4K at 30 FPS, and the camera interface includes night capture mode, but also a novelty: Street mode.

It allows you to make RAW captures, but also to use filters suitable for urban captures. There is also a Pro mode, but also a Bokeh Flare mode, which blurs the background and amplifies the light sources in the background, for content with a higher emotional load. We also get Starry Mode for night capture, but also Dual View Video, Slow Mo, Time Lapse, Movie, Panorama, Ultra Macro and Text Scanner.

Let's see now how we look at the photo samples made during the day. The frames come from a warm day in early September, with a lot of sun. The ultrawide capture seems warmer to me than the main one. The zoom is OK around 2X, but around 3X we start to see some noise and softer details. Capture with the sun in front and the billboard amazed me because the basic colors are well represented: the blue of the bus is what is needed and the autumnal tops of the crown of the trees. I also turned on HDR, but it made the colors too vivid.

I like selfies in terms of detail, face and hair texture, but also the equal distribution between focusing on my face and focusing on the background. I also have a closeup with dried leaves, the herald of autumn and honestly the third attempt beats most Macros. I struggled to make successful Macros at that plant node, and then I captured a perfect Bokeh with the statue and the blurred background.

There is also a series of well-focused, detailed selfies, with clearly highlighted pores and clear imperfections, but also expressive eyes. Now I also tried Bokeh, which cut me well against the background, except for a miss on the right. I don't seem to be so impressed with the way the face looks in the shadows anymore and there are also missed Bokehs at the top of the hair.

I like that the vegetation is not very hot from the sun and the sky is a real blue. Macro catches with roses don't have much soul, but close-ups with the main camera, well you can rely on them to gather likes. The series of photos with the spring fountain in the park also came out well, and the swirling water penetrates the smallest detail through the screen. And the ultrawide looks OK and the lawn details aren't bad either.

I like the richness of the details of the capture from a distance of 50 centimeters - 1 meter when we take the capture with the main camera. Shades of blue have always looked good, as have shades of green and yellow, but red can slip pink in the sun. The photos near the lake brought us some exposed trees, but the part with the lake was pleasing to the eye, that the texture and details, even the colors. I would match the camera with realme GT 5G without too much weight and I think it can be beaten with a Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G, with a little indulgence, possibly also a POCO F3 or POCO X3 Pro.

At night I did not take pictures in Timisoara, but in Bucharest this time. Here the only star is Night Mode, otherwise the phone behaved like a thoroughbred midrange. Ultrasound catches are milky and noisy, with indefinite lights, with a large halo. And the standard captures give generated "suns" for the lighting poles, but any problem has been fixed with Night Mode.

One problem is that with some of the logos of the bright companies like Auchan Titan or Altex, you could only distinguish the writing by zoom and Night Mode, sometimes not even that way. In well-lit areas you can get excellent, very clear shots, so at the entrance to the mall I can say you can take a good Instagram picture. I don't like night selfies, there's too much noise and too much ambiguity.

We also have a very successful closeup with that mega ice cream on the waffle or what that sweet abomination was. A hidden star was the 2X zoom I would say, but also the latest Bokeh selfies in the parking lot light. The flash excessively whitens the catches and especially falls very bright on the blue color. Here it looks like a midrange phone from 2020 or 2021, but with a lower price, even around 1500 lei or less.

And now let's talk about filming. The microphones do not withstand the wind, but the stabilization is OK when panning. The exposure is up, and the details are quite modest on FHD footage. The first stabilization test went well, when I went downstairs and I didn't see any flicker or defocusing, the image remains clear. Selfie filming is poor in detail, with a blurred background, and the angle of the camera's location makes it too easy to get into the frame. The face is quite expressive for vlogging though if you find the ideal lighting.

I shot the same frame in Full HD and then in 4K and I didn't feel that transition to a wealth of detail that I was expecting. This can be seen especially in the distance, in the crowns of trees and grass. The 2021 Galaxy A Series and the POCO X3 seem to have produced more detailed details. I also have a cinematic footage, but with a fluctuating and distracting exposure.

Slow Mo's capture is spectacular, as if diamonds gushing from the fountain in the sun. I was surprised to finally see a phone that shoots in Full HD at 60 FPS without any problems. I like the fluidity of the catch, I don't see overexposure and the sky looks good. I also have a catchy Slow Mo with a blue kite, meditative and melancholy I would say. There is too much light in the background and on the kite when shooting 4K.

I've done other tests with other stabilization settings, but not as impressive as the first one. The latter looked a little better, but we still saw flicker and at the same time the wind caused us serious problems with audio capture. The focus test on the foreground and background was passed with flying colors and I especially appreciate the clarity and detail of the metal acorn closeup.

At night the filming is a bit dark and noisy, the light halos are too big, and the acoustics seem to have some echo. The filming of Altex is noisy and has a lot of reflections. I have no words of praise for the catch on the go, I imagine it is seriously shaky and it is rather greenish. I tried other special stabilization settings, but without much success. You get the most out of a white street light at the entrance to a building.
