This Chinese phone takes the fashion of folding to another level

Major manufacturers are betting heavily on foldable phones during this period. This phone from the Chinese company TCL is something you've never seen before.

Large manufacturers such as Samsung and Huawei have invested heavily in foldable phones and have come up with several models on the market. It is considered the new fashion in the industry and, from what is now on sale, you have foldables for over $ 2,000, but also some at a price of around $ 1,000.

It has been said that the mobile phone market is stagnant. So the producers were forced to come up with something new, especially since in terms of functionality you don't have much to make improvements to compete with other players.

And the answer was found. Not overnight, but after a long period of investment in research and development. This is how foldable phones appeared on the market.

But the TCL Chinese come up with a model you've never seen before. It's a three-part phone.

Basically, it's a three-screen fan.

This phone is something you've never seen before

In October last year, TCL unveiled a prototype phone that looked extremely futuristic. It folded in three, which seemed like a crazy bet on the company. At that time, he was still in the early stages of development and no one was giving him a chance.

It's just that the Chinese are ambitious. And they came with the same much improved model. Although it can be considered that it is still at the concept stage, progress has been made. And many are not to be ignored.

It's a weird combination of phone and tablet. Fully open, it looks like a 10-inch tablet, but you can make it smaller (if you fold it only once) and then look like a phone (if you fold it again). The three screens are basically grouped together and what you get looks like a bigger phone.

Each screen has somewhere at 6.65 inches and, importantly, its own battery. Of course, if you fold it completely, you will have the feeling that you are holding three phones on top of each other, given the thickness of the screens.

TCL's phone runs Android and, although it wants to rival Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate XS, it still has a long way to go. Those from cnet.com tested it claim that it is very far from something like this at the moment.

In fact, what TCL is doing now is in the experimental stage. The three-screen phone doesn't even have an official name. The Chinese company is, in fact, known for the TVs it sells, some of which are of extremely good quality, according to experts.

It is not clear, therefore, whether this company decides to come to the market with the first foldable phone model. If, however, series production begins, the launch will not take place until the second half of next year.
