Less common intervention, on Thursday evening, in the Capital.

A fox crossing a busy boulevard in Sector 3 was rescued by an animal protection association after it was hit by a car.

The driver of the car continued on his way as if nothing had happened. Other people, heartbroken, stopped at the scene and called the police. The animal, named Fox in the meantime, has been taken over by an NGO and is to be operated on.

Experts believe that the fox came from a wild environment with dense vegetation, located nearby, such as the Văcărești Delta.

In the first images captured by witnesses, the fox can be seen, immediately after being hit on Nicolae Grigorescu Boulevard in sector 3, by a driver who later became invisible. The poor animal barely crawls out of the way of other cars and takes refuge on the sidewalk. Two husbands who were driving home and saw the whole scene stopped.

Woman: "I felt sorry for her. I said let's go back and see what happens. The community police we called and told us they were calling us back in three minutes didn't call. It seemed normal for him to come and protect the area somehow. Animal protection I had a landline number, where a fax rang, after I received a mobile number. I was told they would come in 20 minutes and wait. "

Man: "You can't leave her like that in the middle of the road. Maybe she's mad, she's got germs. Tomorrow the man wakes up in a yard, the child goes to caress him, - "mommy, we have a new puppy"

After a few tens of minutes of waiting, in which the injured fox took refuge in the foliage on the side of the road, rescuers arrived on the scene.

Frightened, the fox ran away and hid in a yard full of old beasts. Eventually, members of an animal welfare association found her and reassured her.

Florentina Istrate, veterinarian: “We will transport her for an x-ray and see what the consequences of the road accident are. If necessary, we will perform surgery. I don't think she can be released again. "

Tudor Ionescu, general councilor in the Capital City Hall: “I saw a little in the images the management of this animal. It seems to me that the safety measures were not very well observed, both for the animal and for the human. She was taken like that with an impromptu scarf. The purpose of any animal is to be returned to the wild. "

Man: "It's an area where there was a lot of green space and gardens and where a lot was built and obviously we endangered their natural habitat."

If you see an endangered animal on the street, it is recommended to call 112 or the telephone number provided by ASPA, 021 9844.
