iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max have lately reported a series of problems with WiFi and 4G LTE networks by customers who have come in possession of the first phone models from Apple. In the video below you will see a demonstration in which the WiFi connectivity of the iPhone XS Max disappears if the phone antennas are covered by the users, exactly what happened with the iPhone 4 in the antennagate scandal, which the world has not yet forgotten.
iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max come with new antennas implemented by Apple in the housing, and looking at this clip I can confirm that if I cover all the antennas with both hands, the Wi-Fi signal decreases with a line until I remove the hands. The WiFi signal does not completely disappear, and the speed is not affected, or if it is, the percentage is insignificant, at least in what I experienced, the problem manifesting exactly as you see in the clip below.

Separately from this, the Wi-Fi speeds are as high on the iPhone XS Max, iPhone X, or iPhone 8 on 5 GHz networks, even when the signal is weak, so from this point of view I do not have the problems reported bysome users. To be honest, I expected to have problems with WiFi networks on 5 GHz, but fortunately I am exempt from them, but I am curious what is your experience in using WiFi networks on iPhone XS/MAX.
The 4G LTE connectivity is also very good, without problems, but if I cover the antennas of the phone, the speeds scandal by up to 50%, ie in the house from 75 Mbps to 50 Mbps, the upload speed drops 6 times. On the other hand, the 4G LTE signal is on the iPhone XS Max sometimes even better than on the iPhone X, so I don't know what to say about the problems of other users with this type of connections, but I can partially confirm them, partially do not.
