Samsung Galaxy A52 5G has a 4500 mAh battery, the same as the Galaxy A51 5G, but 500 mAh more than the Galaxy A51. The Li-Po battery charges at 25W, promising on paper to reach 50% in 30 minutes. On paper we are promised up to 18 hours of WiFi use on the Internet and up to 17 hours of LTE use. We also have up to 21 hours of video playback and up to 127 hours of audio playback. But all these are on paper, official specifications. Let's see our tests.

Test- Video playback

We start with the video playback, where we reached 16 hours and 11 minutes, with 4 minutes over the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G. More importantly, it seems to me that we surpassed the predecessor, the Galaxy A51, which reached 13 hours and 33 minutes in our test. We are also a few minutes ahead of the great rival Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G (by 9 minutes) and over Redmi Note 10 Pro. The Galaxy A71 is still higher in the ranking, and the current phone is also surpassed by the Oppo Reno 4 Pro 5G, Moto G30 and Galaxy S10 Lite.

Test - Continuous use

Test made using PCMark for Android. It measures the maximum duration of an uninterrupted session of phone use, under conditions that replicate human behavior. The brightness of the screen is set to 200 LUX, and the phone performs web browsing, plays video, copies files and edits photos.

In the continuous use test I reached 12 hours and 24 minutes, which doesn't sound bad at all . It means that you finish the working day and there is 20% left for the next day, let's say. We beat the Galaxy A51 by 19 minutes on the Oppo Reno 4 Pro 5G, but both the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G and its 5G version are higher, at 14 hours. And POCO X3 NFC is superior.

Test- 100% Charge

Battery charge time to 100%

Charging to 100% is disappointing, needing 2 hours and 37 minutes for a full charge. In 30 minutes of charging you only have 21% battery. There are also Power Saving options in the settings, which increase the autonomy, plus the possibility to change the refresh rate for the same purpose.
