A prisoner of Aiud Penitentiary had a habit of destroying the goods in the detention room: jams, toilet vessels, sinks and even the water installation.
The penitentiary police stated during a trial, in which the man was sent to court for destruction, that he was known for such behavior.
The facts for which the man was sent to court happened more than three years ago, but the magistrates of the Aiud Court sentenced him six days ago, on October 20, 2021.
At the time he was incarcerated, the man from Hunedoara was serving a sentence of 5 years and 4 months for robbery.
According to the court's motivation, ”in the period 26.06.2017 - 20.11.2017 The defendant destroyed several goods from the detention rooms within Aiud Penitentiary, as follows:
1.On the 26th.06.2017, around 2:30 pm, lonely in the E1 detention room.10 of the Aiud Penitentiary, broke two windows in the holding room in which it was staying, and from the bathroom the sink, the tap, the flexible connections and the toilet tank, motivating that a sum of money from the account disappeared..
The value of the damage caused by the deed above is 220 lei.
2.On the 15th.11.2017, around 11:30, the defendant destroyed the bed in the detention room, consisting of three bunk beds, from the E1 room.25 of the Aiud penitentiary, the defendant being staying alone in the room, causing a damage of 520 lei.
3.On the 20th.11.2017, around 3:45 pm, the defendant destroyed the WC ship from the E1 detention room.25, the defendant being accommodated alone in the Chamber, causing a damage of 73.90 lei ”, is shown in the court motivation.
As a result, for his actions, on October 20, the magistrates of the Aiud Court sentenced him to six months for each deed of destruction.
By merging the punishments and adding a rest of the previous, unintelligent sentence, resulted in the final one -year, one month and 1.201 days of imprisonment, in detention mode.
The sentence was not final and can be appealed within 10 days of pronouncement.
