How do I transfer data between my old and my new phone?
Before transferring data, make sure you're signed in to your Google Account on your old phone so that you can back it up.
Once you have backed up your old phone, access your Google account on your new phone and you will have the option to recover the back made in Google Drive.
Contact transfer
The easiest way to transfer your phonebook with contacts from your old Android phone to your new one is to sync with your Google account.
To do this, go to the Settings app on your phone, go to the Accounts section, search for your Google account, and allow your calendar to sync by checking the Sync calendar option.
This will save all phone numbers in your Google Account and will be available on your new device as soon as you sign in to the same account.
At the same time, there are several applications in the Google Play Store that will help you transfer data from one phone to another. The most popular are Smart Data Transfer, Smart Transfer, Smart Switch Mobile and Direct Transfer.
To do this, go to the phonebook, then its settings and create the contacts file according to the instructions of the application you have installed.
Transfer media files
For .jpeg, .jpg, .bmp, .png, .tif files, or any other visual-specific extension, you can use two transfer options: in the Cloud or on a microSD memory card.
If you don't want to transfer files using a data cable, you can save them to Google Drive or Dropbox. 
To do this, you need to move or copy all the files from your old phone to your new phone and then access them from your Google Account on your new device. This way, you'll have even more storage space because the internal memory of your new phone will no longer be occupied by the respective media files.
Application transfer
To transfer apps to your new phone, all you need to do is sign in to your Google Account with the same username and password you used on your old phone, and they will automatically sync.
Once connected to your account, the setup wizard for your new smartphone will ask if you want to install previously used applications. This procedure is only available for applications that back up your Drive.
To verify that your applications support this option, you'll need to sign in to Google Drive on your phone, access the settings, and click Backup Management.
If the names of the applications you are looking for appear, it means that they have activated the program with the back-up function in Drive.
Other ways to transfer data
In addition to the above methods, you should know that there are other options for data transfer between two devices that use the Android operating system.
One of these is Bluetooth transfer. To do this, you need to activate the function on both phones, connect them, select the files you want to transfer and then choose to send them via Bluetooth.
Careful! Depending on your phone model, there may be a limit to the total size of files that you can transfer.
Another data transfer option is the NFC (Near Field Communication) feature. NFC is a technology designed to transfer data between devices running the Android operating system.
All you have to do is turn on the NFC feature in the switch panel at the top of the screen on both phones, bring them closer together - back to back - and data transfer will be allowed.
In addition to the applications that you can download for free from the Google Play Store, smartphones also come with pre-installed data transfer software.
You will find these programs in your phone under different names, depending on the manufacturer, namely: Huawei - Phone Clone, Samsung - Smart Switch, LG - Mobile Switch.
